How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® for Honda

Before you explore how to set up Apple CarPlay® for Honda, you’ll want to decide if you want to connect wirelessly or through USB cable. Here’s how to set up Apple CarPlay® for Honda: 

How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® for Honda: USB Cable 

  1. Turn your Honda on, then command Siri on 
  2. Connect your iPhone to your vehicle, make sure to use an Apple USB cord
  3. Double check if your USB port has a CarPlay or smartphone icon, that’s the port to connect. 

How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® for Honda: Wireless:

  1. Click on settings in your iPhone or iOS device
  2. Click on ‘General’ in the settings app.
  3. Tap the ‘CarPlay’ option
  4. Connect to Bluetooth®. Without Bluetooth® connectivity, a screen will prompt “enable wireless CarPlay” 
  5. With wireless CarPlay active/enabled capabilities, click and hold down the voice button on your steering wheel or tap the wireless pairing option to begin connecting your iOS device to your car 

How to Set Up Android Auto™ for Honda

How to use Android Auto™ with a USB: 

  1. Check your Android Auto™ compatibility 
  2. Turn your vehicle on and shift into park 
  3. Plug in your USB cable to your port and other end in your Android phone 
  4. Download or open the Android Auto™ app then follow all instructions in your app for set up 
  5. On your car display, click Android Auto then follow directions 

How to use Android Auto™ Wireless

  1. Check your Android Auto™ compatibility 
  2. Turn your vehicle on and place it in park then use Bluetooth® to pair your phone and car
  3. Open or download the Android Auto™ app, make sure it’s the newest app version 
  4. Follow the instructions to complete set up in the app 
  5. Click the Android Auto™ on your vehicles display, it may take a few seconds to connect 
  6. To exit Android Auto™ wirelessly, click “Exit driving mode”
